Hello all, something about myself...
Expat living in the North Island of New Zealand since February 14 2000. Grew up in British Columbia, Canada, and the Midlands of the UK. After High School, joined the British Army, leaving in 89 to join the Prison Service. Emigrated to NZ in 2000 and continued with the Prison Service until January 2008. I then took some time off to complete a building project and just "smell the roses" as it were!!
I now work for Sitel NZ as a Risk Assessor and Internal Auditor...better than a proper job!!!
My long suffering wife and friend for the last 22 years is Catherine, and we have lovely daughter Helen, who is an Officer in the NZ Army and currently studying at the Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra.
My hobbies and interests: Enjoying the company of my family and friends, riding my Ninja "Goblin" whatever the current version is!! Running with my two "Fur Kids", sport climbing, and Sky Diving, Freemasonry and taking trips through the Stargate with SG1 or Journeying with whoever is in command of the current Enterprise or Voyager!!
As for my biking history…I started riding bikes as a little boy of about 7 or 8..my brother is 10 years older than I am. While living in Vancouver he bought a Norton Commando 750 would have been 69 or 70?? He used to take me for spins about on it, and as a result got me a little monkey bike to tear about the yard and lanes on!!
At 15 back in the UK I bought a little step through moped, and then a Yamaha FSI…First Kawaka was Z650 in 81??? First Green “Goblin” the original!! The rest as they say is history!!
I now have a couple of “Baby Ninjas” 250 and 1000…In “negotiations” for the “King of Ninjas” and the ultimate “Goblin” in the family!! I will post some photos when the new family member arrives!!
I look forward to sharing your adventures and journeys “vicariously” through this excellent facility…Happy Trails everyone and “Seize the Day”
